His commitment to perfection and transformative outcomes sets him apart.

Ever since 3rd year in medical school, cosmetic surgery is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I enjoy the patients and the ability to change their lives for the better is very humbling. There is no better feeling than seeing the reaction on someones face post-surgery when they see that you’ve fixed or improved upon something that they have been very insecure about. It’s not life saving surgery but it is life changing, something that most people don’t realize. Cosmetic surgery is not all about vanity and looking like the Kardashians – it’s about normal people wanting something they don’t like about their appearance changed – such as getting their heavy breasts reduced in size or excess overhanging tummy tissue removed. It really is not all glamour and beauty. It’s everyday people wanting things done to improve their self confidence. For every single case I do, I’m constantly looking for perfection. It’s not attainable but I’m always striving for it. I want each procedure to be better than the last one.

Cormac was educated at Gonzaga College SJ and went to UCD to study medicine. He graduated with honours in 2005 and did his internship at the Mater Hospital. He received his basic surgical training in Cork and was accepted onto the higher surgical training scheme in 2013. This specialized training took Cormac to all the main teaching hospitals including University Hospital Galway, Cork University Hospital, the Mater Hospital, St. James’ Hospital and St. Vincent’s University. On completion of training, Cormac took a post as locum consultant plastic surgeon in St. Vincent’s University from 2018 to 2019. During this time he completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He then received fellowship training at Bellavou Clinic in Royal Tunbridge Wells under the tutelage of cosmetic surgeon, Amir Nakhdjevani, the creator of the Concept facelift. This training encompassed all aspects of aesthetic surgery including newer technologies including Vaser liposculpture, Renuvion (J Plasma) as well as Bodytite, Facetite and Morpheus 8. Cormac also received HD liposculpture training under the reknowned Dr Alfredo Hoyos in Columbia and he is the only Total Definer™ doctor in Ireland.

He now is the resident plastic surgeon at several clinics in Co. Dublin where he has launched the groundbreaking Re:Form™ facelift. This is a full facelift carried out under local anaesthetic with no drains or bandages and it is a technique he has developed and trademarked.

Cormac is widely reported in the media and contributes regularly to the Irish Print Media and has been interviewed by Time Magazine and has appeared on television and radio several times.

Cormac is married to Melanie, a GP with a special interest in aesthetic medicine, and they have four young daughters and one son. His interests used to include golf, tennis and rugby but now all his free time involves Peppa Pig, unicorns and princesses!!
